Last December, Chris Green, a Microsoft employee, wrote a post on the MSN blog (http://blogs.msdn.com/chris.green/default.aspx )that seems to reveal that Microsoft could release the next version of its operating system, Windows 8, by  July 2011. It is said that Green also suggests that Windows Server 2012, presumably based on the same technology as Windows 8 and Office 2012 could be available in July 2012.

However, if the timing is correct, then it would appear that Microsoft is trying to accelerate the frequency of updates for your operating system, which does not appeal to many customers of the company. Let’s keep in mind however that in the mean time Google continues to advance its Chrome OS, which could be ready later this year.
